About Maria Belen

I am an Argentine teacher of Spanish who lived in Ireland for 15 years. I worked as a Spanish tutor at Maynooth University for 9 years. I have a Masters and PhD in Hispanic Studies from UCD. In addition, I have completed the Curso de Formación de Profesores de Español como Lengua Extranjera from the Cervantes Institute Dublin. Currently, I am on a career break and looking for a job I can do from home.

I feel I am adept at developing engaging course material, making use of technology to assist the learning process. My priority is to ensure students learn in a communicative environment in which they can appreciate the importance of acquiring a foreign language for the development of their own personal and professional lives. Working with adults and young adults has been among the most rewarding experiences of my career. It is not everyone who is as fortunate as me to be able to do what they love!
