About Emily
I prefer honesty and transparency, so I'll be blunt in saying that from what I have seen from almost all of my private students, is that for the most part, the private school system has been less effective than it was in the past when it comes to teaching students to the fullest potential within their curriculum. 9th graders do not know how to write a proper essay, there are barely any novel studies, literary analyses, or focus on advanced vocabulary which is crucial in English language studies. When it comes to my style and structure of tutoring, my first priority is to help my students with whatever homework or school assignments they are working on. I usually conduct my classes in one-hour intervals, however, if my student needs me to stay past the hour to ensure their assignment is completed to the best of our capability, then I stay with them until it is done, with no extra charge. None of my students have ever received a grade lower than an A+ on any assignment I have helped them with. If my students have no current assignments to work on, then we focus on my own personalized lesson plan, depending on which area of EL studies for which they need to focus on improving their skills. I am focused on my students' success more than anything else and promise to produce results, those of which will be reflected in their grades, their enthusiasm for their studies, and their academic performance in the future. If a student does not get good grades, they are more likely to get frustrated with themselves, their teacher, and the course as a whole in addition to loss of self-confidence and enthusiasm towards learning. Their teachers have to teach dozens of students and follow the same exact teaching style for each one, but not every person learns the same way or can be captivated by learning through the same technique as their classmates. I promise to change their perspective and show them that even though not everyone learns the same way, they can still learn and excel in areas they never thought possible.

As an experienced teacher and online tutor, my main goal with my students is academic excellence. I am personable, devoted, and dedicated to providing my students with a personalized, attentive learning environment tailored to each student's specific learning style and needs.
