About Kavya

I did B.Tech in ECE from a government college in Trivandrum, M.Tech in Signal Processing from NIT Calicut. Passion for teaching made me think of online tuitions and ended up here in Superprof :)

About the lesson

I believe in making complicated concepts simple. Problems should be approached through the easiest method. Through practice and willpower anything can be achieved. So I choose different methods, a variety of sources and tasks to make a subject easier to digest for any student.

She cracked GATE and was made her way to NIT CALICUT (one of the prestigious institutions in INDIA). As she has shown her talent in studies, so is her interest to teach as well. I have always felt she understands things smartly and explains them with ease. So for these reasons I strongly believe that Kavya can be a good teacher.

What motivates you to teach and why?
I am passionate towards teaching. It's the best service you could offer to enlighten young minds. The results and gratitude from the student community motivates me.
When did you start developing an interest in your subject area?
I developed a keen interest towards my subject when i did my graduation. Even from the second year, I started teaching my colleagues and juniors. It helped me in learning also since it was a revision process for me then.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of and why?
My role model is not a single person. It is a combination of several great minds, a set of friends and my family. One can learn good things from anyone else, only that one should look for them.
What is the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in mastering your craft?
It was the pressure exerted by parents, exams, and deadlines on students. The learning and teaching process should be happily performed not faced with fear.
In your opinion, what makes someone excel in your subject area?
It's the patience, flexibility and dedication which makes one stand apart. To excel one should keep on improving oneself, considering the feedbacks. The more creative your teaching is, the more interesting it becomes. So use all possible tools such as the graphical or mathematical or analytical accordingly.
What would you say to a student who says, "This is too difficult, I give up!"? *
Would you be able to walk steadily or even stand up if you thought the same as a kid? Learning is permeable to failures and setbacks but quitting is not the solution. Divide the volume of subject into chunks of smaller achievable targets and work towards them.
How does someone become a Super Teacher?
The growth and progress of a teacher is the satisfaction of the student. The happier the student is the better is your performance. So a super teacher is one who knows the pulse of the student.
