About Javaidiqbal

I have studied Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry at A Level and have a BSc in Economics 2:1 from Queen Mary University of London. I first realised how much I enjoyed tutoring when I helped my now 14 year old niece through her KS2 exams. Initially she was terrified of Mathematics but it's now her favourite subject!

My other great passion is Economics, an important subject which sometimes requires a re emphasis of certain concepts learnt in the classroom. My experience in studying this subject at higher levels is also of great use. I have successfully helped students at GCSE and A level exceed their predicted grades (tutoring online lessons as well as in person), thus maximising students' potential outcomes.

Overall, I have been tutoring for more than 3 years , Economics from GCSE right up to undergraduate level and Mathematics from Key stage 2 right up to A level. I am currently taking the Award in Education and training ( Formerly PTLLS) course with the intention of teaching in the life long sector in addition to my tuition.

About the lesson

I teach through the use of visual aids as well as engaging in dialogue with the student. I will not let a student blindly copy down what I say without them discussing the topic and the concept with me first. I also (through the use of a whiteboard) draw diagrams and create shorthand notes which I encourage the students to follow. I believe this combination of discussion and visual learning helps students absorb understand concepts quickly.

Deadly! Great Tutor
Javid tutored my son in maths. He has a calm approach to teaching and bonds with the student.

Javaid takes a practical approach to maths that resulted in my son enjoying it. He also focussed on how to answer questions providing a tactical approach of how to succeed.
