Depaul is a charity working with some of the most marginalised people experiencing homelessness in Ireland today. Working in very challenging environments, I was responsible for a diverse set of clients. Interjected with my social care responsibilities, and the emergence of a culturally diverse Ireland, I helped
clients for whom English was not their first language and were experiencing further barriers because of their language skill development needs.
Peters Place: Project Worker and Case Manager for adults aged 18 to 35. Responsible for the care, health and safety, daily records, key working, resettlement, advocacy, support plans, case management, incident report writing and liaising with team and management to move our young residents out of homelessness.
Rendu Apartments: Project for homeless women and their children. I case managed residents seeking their resettlement, attending and liaising with TUSLA, rehabilitation centres, advocating for the physical and mental supports for the residents.
Back Lane Hostel: Night support worker in a dynamic project working with mental health addiction and isolation, working closely with the CMH. Responsible for the health and safety and wellbeing of 60 residents with complex needs.
Moorehaven Project: Project dealing with mental health that interlinked with the Central Mental Hospital. Case management and individual support.

Working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, the Salvation Army in Dublin operates six residential centres for young people, single adults, couples and families. Worked first as a Project Worker and then as a Team Leader, I was responsible for ensuring an holistic approach was not only maintained but for ongoing training, learning support, guidance, supervision, roster organisation and work preparation of staff .
Motivating and encouraging creative approaches to staff duties with service users.
Maintenance of strict adherence by staff and service users to centre rules relating to alcohol, drugs and violence.

Language support and development for service users whom English was not their first language.
