About Jacob
I am most interested in teaching students who feel they are lacking the ability to learn, or who are distressed at the prospects of exams and need help preparing. Being able to help children and teenagers and adolescents through this stage in their lives is most valuable as a gift to their futures. Confidence, reinforcement and support...these are offered to students in the lessons over time.

Students are first introduced to general concepts of the topic. The use of textbooks and media (e.g. videos and blogs) are integrated with classes. This is followed by broad practical exercises or practicals (e.g. doing experiments/research) for students to know the topics more deeply. Lessons typically last 1.5 hrs.
I have a Masters in Philosophy, and I have been teaching upper primary, lower secondary students, and college level students in subjects such as English, Math, Science, Psychology and World Philosophy. I have been teaching for over 20 years and presently I am an administrator for a learning centre that also includes Special Needs students.
