About Tatum
Hi! My name is Tatum, I am 22 years old and about to finish my MSc in Environmental Governance of which I am predicted a distinction. I completed both my undergraduate BA and this MSc at the University of Manchester. I really have such a passion for my degree. My favourite topics are in human geography, although I have learnt a lot and am happy to tutor in physical geography also,
I hope to help any primary, secondary or university students hone their geography skills so they can feel more confident in their subject and achieve the grades the want!
Past Experiences:
Whilst at secondary school, I tutored two girls in both Geography and Biology and helped them both achieve great results in their GCSEs as they developed a greater understanding of geographical processes as well as important exam skills. Being at university means I have an up to date knowledge of geography, which is hugely useful in school level Geography as it is these extra bits of information that help students access the highest marks.
In my first year of university I also worked for a tutoring company online and successfully tutored about 12 students in geography and similar subjects.

In the first lesson I will always take some time to get to know the student, their goals and any worries they have with their performance. I need to know where they are in their learning, what spec they're using and other administrative things also.
What each lesson focuses on is controlled by the student or their teacher/guardian, and is practice question led. I usually ask the student to do the question in front of me, explain their reasoning and then we willgo through the marking scheme together. I will highlight how they can improve and where they've been successful, giving them extra tips I've learnt throughuot my eductaion to help them further!
