About Paige
I am a writer and nonprofit worker. I learned Spanish through the American school system, continued to study through college, and studied abroad in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Since graduating, I have worked in Spanish speaking industries, including on Spanish speaking films in Los Angeles. Now that I am back in the Denver area, I work as a community navigator for a Latinx educational coalition called RISE Colorado. With this job, I speak Spanish daily and now consider myself to be a conversational/fluent speaker. I come from a family of teachers and have worked with kids as a camp counselor in the past. I am technically savvy and would love to help students struggling with a new language!

My teaching method is very flexible, as I understand that every student needs different tools to succeed. I would first start by establishing the student's curriculum, test/exam dates, and personal goals for the course. I would base my teaching method on the similar understand the student and I share of the public school system, which is heavily based on tests and vocabulary, and in more advanced courses, writing. Preparation is very important to me, and I would make sure to understand how I can best prepare to come to every session with the tools needed to help the student learn and advance.
