About Anna

Fully qualified teacher available for private tuition. My name is Anna and I am a fully qualified teacher with over 3 years experience working in a variety of primary and secondary schools throughout NI, England and Australia, working with children of all abilities. As well as being a fully qualified teacher, I have over 8 years experience tutoring pupils in preparation for GL/AQA/SATS assessments, GCSE and A-Level examinations across all curriculum levels. I am a fully qualified teacher, GTCNI registered and completed my PGCE in education in London before taking permanent employment at a large primary school in England, where I worked as a teacher with 60 pupils per class, including pupils of all abilities, a large proportion of whom have English as an additional language.
Prior to completing my PGCE I completed my BSc Hons Geography with German and obtained second class honours, upper division (2.1).
I have A-Level Biology (grade B), A-Level German (grade A) and A-Level Geography (grade A).
I also have 10 GCSES grade A*-A including Maths, Additional Maths, Science and English.

Additionally I have a valid DBS England police check and Access NI check (renewed September 2018) and I hold a valid childcare first aid certificate. I also obtained a Teaching English as an additional language qualification and have a wealth of experience working with pupils of all ages and abilities to support them in their learning.

About the lesson

Every learner is an individual. I tailor my sessions to the needs and abilities of the individual student to ensure that they achieve their full potential. When taking on a new student to tutor I ensure that I understand their abilities and where their strengths and weaknesses lie and together we set realistic goals. All sessions have a clear structure and learning objective however they are delivered in a fun and engaging way to motivate the student and ensure they get the most from each session.
I offer tuition 1:1 or in a small group (max 5 per person) on a short term or long term basis. I am offering tuition in GL/AQE assessment preparation, all GCSE subjects and A-Level Geography, German and Biology.
