About Edwin

I, Edwin Zuniga have been speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish for as long as I can remember my first memory. My mother actually taught me through practice in books about how to read and write in Spanish. I always knew how to speak it but an advantage I have is the knowledge of writing and reading as well. I never took a Spanish class in grade school. I am currently a Senior in high school right now taking college Spanish currently so that I can soon take Spanish that teaches about medicine in Spanish since as a career, I would love to do Dermatology. I currently have an A in the course and I also help students who are taking Spanish at my school as well. Every student so far who I have helped has improved in their Spanish knowledge and it has shown through exam grades going up significantly. Not only that but they are able to use more words in sentences and their pronunciation has improved with it.

About the lesson

Personally, I am a visual learner. I love to use images but also words and how to use the words in a sentence. I typically like to take things slowly and try to see where the person is at and from there guide them based on my understanding of what they know. This is my first time teaching someone Spanish online so this is something I am looking forward to and hopefully able to learn and grow as a Spanish tutor. What sets me apart from other Spanish tutors would have to be my background, growing up with Mexican parents and Spanish being the only thing spoken at home, to me it's something I have always appreciated and especially now since there are a lot of people out there who speak Spanish and don't know English. The importance of being able to communicate with them to help them out it's a good feeling and simply by knowing a language, you can help others in many ways. My ideal target is to tutor students from grades K-12. I am open to others outside of grade school as well but my main focus is people in grade school.
