About Ted
I am an approachable and confident person who has good experience of teaching in all life situations. I am a qualified surf instructor, as well as a lifeguard. I am currently on a year away from the classroom before continuing my legal education as I pursue a career as a solicitor. I have always loved reading and writing, and having the opportunity to pass on my passion is very rewarding.
I am not demanding, your time is your own and deserves to be respected. I am ready to help!

Nice to meet you! I hope to help students improve their ability to analyse text, write efficiently and get great results.
I can offer any length of lesson required, usually 1-2hrs.
I use techniques I have learnt from Cambridge Uni, letting students think for themselves, relfecting on their own performance and helping them improve through practice. Usually I set some 'homework' of past questions/similar of my own design, which I then mark and go through with the students. Reading and marking your own work is somewhat daunting and awkward, but I have found in my experience that it is the best way to improve quickly.
I can offer lessons from 11-18, typically GCSE and A level.
Through my experiences I have gained a good understanding of what it takes to get into a top University to study the literary arts. I can offer help and advice on personal statements, and improving CVs before the daunting application processes. This service is for any subject, not just History or English.
I can also offer practice Oxbridge interviews for History, English and Classics (not the language element, Latin or Greek).
