About Rosaleen
Hi, I’m Rosaleen, a Dean’s List Statistics and Computer Science student at McGill University with more than four years of tutoring experience.
I graduated high school with a 100% average and a national merit scholarship, and throughout my studies I’ve always had a strong foundation in French. Living in Montreal, I use and hear French every day, which allows me to bring both academic knowledge and real-world perspective into my lessons.
What I enjoy most about tutoring French is helping students realize it’s not just about memorizing rules, but about building confidence and being able to use the language meaningfully. Whether you’re a beginner, preparing for exams, or strengthening your coursework, my aim is to make French approachable, clear, and enjoyable.

My French lessons are tailored, interactive, and focused on your specific goals. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, working on assignments, or starting as a beginner, I’ll adapt lessons to meet your level and learning style.
Here’s what you can expect:
1. Personalized Roadmap: Lessons are built around your curriculum, strengths, and areas for improvement.
2. Coursework Support: If you are learning French in school, we’ll review your class materials, teacher notes, and assignments together to clear up confusion.
3. Conceptual Clarity: Grammar, vocabulary, and reading strategies are explained in a clear and practical way.
4. Exam Preparation: Practice exercises and strategies will help you feel confident and prepared for French tests.
5. Supportive Environment: I understand that students begin at different levels and that French may be a new language for you, so lessons always move at your pace while building confidence step by step.
My goal is to make French less intimidating and more rewarding, helping you grow from where you are now to where you want to be.

I’m happy to recommend Rosaleen as a tutor on Superprof. Rosaleen started helping my daughter, Emily, with high school math about six months ago when she was really struggling with the subject.
Right from the start, Rosaleen’s friendly and patient approach made a big difference. She takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense and always finds ways to relate math problems to real-life situations, which makes learning more interesting and less intimidating for Emily.
One time, Emily had a big math test coming up, and she was really nervous. Rosaleen didn’t just stick to the usual tutoring schedule; she arranged extra sessions and made sure Emily understood everything she needed to know. She didn’t just focus on the hard stuff, but also helped her build confidence by going over the basics and showing her she could do it.
Rosaleen has a strong background in math with her degree and several years of tutoring experience, but what really stands out is how much she cares about her students. She’s not just there to help with homework; she’s really invested in seeing them succeed and gain confidence in their abilities.
Since working with Rosaleen, Emily’s grades have improved, but more importantly, she’s much more confident in her math skills. She’s even started to enjoy the subject, which I never thought I’d see!
Rosaleen is a great tutor who truly supports her students. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with math.I have been going to Rosaleen for tutoring help for my sons since last October. One is in elementary, my other son is in high school. Before coming to her, my two sons had immense difficulty understanding the math and science concepts. Thanks to her though, she’s helped my son understand each and every concept. They’ve become so much more confident in their learning abilities because she’s been so patience with them and she really cares about her students.
She goes through the concepts, does homework questions together, and then gives them a few questions to do on their own so she can provide feedback and ensure they thoroughly understand the work! I would definitely recommend Rosaleen to anyone looking for an amazing tutor on a budget! :)View more recommendations
