About Sera

With 4 years of tutoring experience, I have had the privilege of teaching over 300 students, helping them unlock the beauty of the Spanish language. My passion for education stems from a deep belief that learning a new language opens doors to new cultures, opportunities, and personal growth. I specialise in teaching Spanish to high school and college students, creating a supportive and engaging environment that encourages confidence and fluency. Throughout my career, I've seen many of my students achieve significant milestones, from excelling in exams to applying their Spanish skills in real-world situations. My teaching approach focuses on not just grammar and vocabulary, but also cultural understanding and practical communication. I believe in motivating each student to reach their full potential, adapting lessons to fit their individual needs. Teaching is more than just a job for me—it's a chance to inspire and empower the next generation of Spanish speakers.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for Spanish is centred on accountability, integrity, flexibility, and collaboration. I believe that consistent progress in learning a language comes from setting clear goals and holding students accountable for their own learning. I maintain integrity by providing honest feedback, guiding students in the right direction while respecting their individual learning pace. Flexibility is key in my approach—whether focusing on speaking, writing, or grammar, I adjust lessons based on the student’s needs and learning style. I also encourage collaboration, fostering an interactive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practising together. This helps improve both language skills and confidence. In addition to Spanish, I can teach related subjects such as phonetics, vocabulary building, and reading comprehension, all with a focus on real-life application to enhance fluency and cultural understanding.
