About Fantine
I grew up North of Paris to a French father and an American mother. I obtained an MA in Film at The Sorbonne of Paris. Soon after that, I moved to California to pursue my love for surfing and the Arts. For the past 5 years, I have supported many young learners from age 11 to 18 years for better ease as they learn the langage in middle school and high school. Pre pandemic, I held conversation groups for adults weekly. More recently, I’ve been tutoring local college students. As a tutor, I ensure that my cultural curiosity and my love for the langage never dies.

“I offer online sessions to support you through the exciting journey of learning French. I offer genuine insight from a rich culture I grew up in.
In our first free session, we assess where your level is at, how best to encourage improvement based on your personality and skills and what your goals are.
Every session we involve cultural aspects. From culinary topics, to architectural and the arts, I make learning a langage exciting and engaging. I encourage expression, trial and error. Learning a langage can be intimating. Together we make it accessible and creative.
