About Sergio

Hello, my name is Sergio and I’m from Colombia. Over the past few years I’ve had the opportunity to live in 16 different countries, an experience that has shaped the way I understand language, culture, and human connection.

I am a social worker, and my background influences the way I teach. I believe learning a language is not only about grammar or vocabulary, but about feeling confident enough to express yourself and connect with others.

Through my travels and experiences living abroad, I’ve learned how powerful language can be for building bridges between people and cultures. Spanish, in particular, is a vibrant and diverse language that opens the door to many worlds.

As a teacher, I enjoy creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace while discovering the richness of the language and the cultures behind it.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around one simple idea: everyone learns differently. Instead of following a rigid method, I adapt each class to the student’s goals, pace, and interests.

My background in social work allows me to approach teaching from a psychosocial perspective. I focus on creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and grow naturally in the language.
Classes can include conversation, cultural exploration, practical vocabulary for real-life situations, and grammar when it is needed to strengthen communication. I also like to incorporate topics such as travel, culture, everyday life, and global perspectives, making the learning experience more dynamic and meaningful.

The goal is not only to learn Spanish, but to use it as a tool to connect with people, cultures, and new opportunities.
