About the lesson
My teaching method is primarily based on classical style teaching.
For the first part of the class I revise what we previously learned with a short quiz. I would show them different notes on flash cards and challenge them to name & identify the note on the piano.
The next part of the lesson would be concentrated on core elements of Piano, such as scales, sight reading and playing pieces. Students learn about the importance of practicing scales to develop their piano playing skills. We practice scales using different rhythms and speeds to challenge their dexterity and coordination.
The lesson progresses naturally to sight reading. I choose little segments or motifs of well known songs for students to sight read without the title of the song, which they must guess after playing.
Then students practice selected Piano pieces and build up their repertoire. At the end of the lesson I always make sure students practice a piece chosen by them.

I am a Piano Teacher with experience teaching in Abu Dhabi, Ireland and soon to be in Paris. I have given individual lessons in Piano and group lessons in Keyboard. I have also instructed students in learning to read music and to understand music theory.
