About Kai
My name is Kai, I am half-Japanese half-Australian living in Melbourne, Australia. I am fluent in both English and Japanese with a deep understanding and love for the cultures of both countries and a passion for bridging the gap. I have a background in training and development of young people and a number of years' experience as a private tutor and classroom assistant. I am friendly and outgoing and want to create a fun and pressure-free environment for you to learn and develop your skills.

Friendly and easy-going with sound teaching skills and ability to explain new concepts and ideas. Typical lessons go for 1-2 hours. Having lived in both Australia and Japan throughout my life, I have been immersed in both cultures and have native proficiency in both languages. I have 3+ years' experience as a personal tutor for friends and family and a professional background in training and development, predominantly with 15 to 25-year-olds. I am, however, confident with a wide range of age ranges. Suitable for beginner to intermediate Japanese speakers.
I obtained a study score of 46 in VCE Japanese Units 3 + 4. I am able to tutor students in preparation for listening and written exams, personal study projects and conversation and speaking practice.
