About Ilze
Hi, my name is Ilze and I am a qualified teacher from South Africa with experience teaching learners in Grades 4 to 7. I have a background in Natural Sciences and enjoy helping learners understand scientific concepts in a simple and practical way.
I am passionate about working with children and helping them grow in confidence. I believe that science becomes easier when it is explained clearly and linked to real-life examples, and I enjoy making lessons engaging and meaningful.
I am patient, friendly and committed to creating a positive learning environment where learners feel comfortable to ask questions, think for themselves and develop an interest in science.

My Natural Sciences lessons are designed to help learners understand scientific concepts in a simple and engaging way. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s level and pace, making sure they feel comfortable and supported throughout the learning process.
I focus on building a strong understanding of key topics such as life and living, energy, matter and the environment. I use clear explanations, examples and discussions to help learners understand how science works in real life, rather than just memorising facts. I also assist with homework, projects, and test and exam preparation.
I create a calm and positive learning environment where learners feel confident to ask questions and explore ideas. My goal is to help learners improve their understanding, build confidence and develop an interest in science.
