About Hugo
Hello, I'm a 17-year-old with a diverse background and a passion for learning. I'm fluent in three languages - Spanish, English, and German - and I'm eager to add Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, and Italian to my linguistic repertoire. My roots trace back to Cuban and Spanish descent, and I've had the privilege of living in over 8 countries, soaking in different cultures along the way.
Currently, I'm enrolled in an IB school in Washington, D.C., where I'm putting my patience and dedication to the test. Beyond languages and academics, I'm a guitarist, finding solace and joy in music.
My interests are as varied as my experiences - from theoretical physics and engineering to art and music. I thrive on challenges, and one that stands out is my journey in math. When I first moved to the U.S., I had minimal math knowledge, but within a year, I transformed an initial F grade into an A*, surpassing peers who had years of experience in the subject.
