I am a current student at Montclair State University, hoping to study to become a math teacher. I was in the National Honor Society, where after school tutoring to my peers is what I participated in, as well as helping with homework, and preparing for tests.

First I figure out what exactly it is that they're confused about, and then I try to relate the problem to something they're interested in, so its easy for them to follow along. I will then thoroughly explain the process of solving the problem in a way that they can understand it, and then give them more problems to try on their own, assisting them little by little, if necessary.
