I teach through demonstrations and allowing the student or students the chance to "teach" the teacher which enables the student to absorb knowledge far more efficiently.
Education does not need to be authoritarian.
Keeping math practical and modern helps children relate to the subject like money and time rather than the old school idea of what maths needs to be and not should be.
I have two HE1s in Social Administration and Counselling from Plater College, Oxford.
Most recently I was employed as a Culinary skills lecturer which has a practical/applied mathematics module with the CDETB and YouthReach.
I understand the difficulty in home schooling and covid schooling, especially when it comes to mathematics. So making maths easy, fun and relatable is the aim of my lessons.
