Methodology

Firstly, I undertake a COMPREHENSIVE academic needs analysis and ASSESS your CURRENT English score and then I create a short, intensive course of study in Academic English (with an emphasis on the skills required to participate in Higher Education (either Under-/Post-graduate) which will greatly improve your chances of being admitted to Irish Colleges or Universities. I then supplement this with fundamentals in your targeted area of study (e.g. Business, Science/Technology/Medicine, Arts/Humanities, Law, etc) as well as Presentation Skills, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Speaking Skills, Rubrics and Styles particular to the college/university).

Experience

I am a Private Tutor in Academic English (with foundation course elements similar to foundation programs stipulated by Irish Colleges and Universities). I have taught on pre-admission foundation programs for large and small learning institutions for more than 10 years and I teach IELTS/Cambridge/TOEFL/SAT test preparation courses AND I am an Examiner for these exams/tests.
