Website description

Superprof is the reference point for online & in-person tuition whose purpose is to connect tutors, coaches, and professionals with students. Superprof facilitates learning, sharing knowledge and human connections.

Superprof, in its capacity as an intermediary, cannot guarantee the payment of lessons between students and tutors.

Superprof makes every effort to control the quality, the accuracy of information contained in listings, the veracity of tutor qualifications, contact information and availability, but cannot under any circumstances guarantee it. Superprof members must create a profile to use and contact other members of the community. Users agree to create only one profile on the site. This profile can be modified, managed and deleted from the dashboard that is available to users. This profile can also be removed through a request by email.

The services of the Superprof website is exclusively reserved for people of legal age. Where purchase contracts and sale are entered into, all parties must be legally able to subscribe to such agreements under applicable Federal & State law. The use of the service as a student is limited to natural persons and for their own use. Anyone using the site to approach teachers and promote their own personal business ventures is deemed to be in disaccord with the purposes of this site. Superprof reminds its users that they are subject to standard labour laws, as well as Irish business and taxation law. This includes, but is not limited to, abiding by all CRO & GST regulations, as laid out by the Companies Registration Office Ireland and Revenue Ireland.

Submission, Distribution & Searching for Listings

Tutors create and publish their listings freely on Superprof following the simple process provided on the site that can be found by clicking on: Become a Tutor, on the home page menu. Members can submit as many teaching listings as they want, grouping their listings by subject type/category (arts, sports, science, for example) or by creating one per subject.

Each registered teaching listing must be completely different from all others and must have a unique title in order to avoid referencing issues on Google.

Any teacher placing an online listing on Superprof must exclusively publish information, content, photographs and videos that belong to them and of which they hold the rights. The listing must not contain information that is incorrect, illegal or likely to mislead the recipient.

The listings must not contain the contact details of the teacher: address, phone, email ... under penalty of having their listing suspended and may even be denied access to the site.

Tutors are committed to being perfectly transparent about their lessons and their references. Superprof will not be held responsible for any erroneous information provided by tutors. It is the student's responsibility to verify the information provided by the tutor on their listing and to notify Superprof as soon as possible if this information proves to be inaccurate.

The publication and distribution of listings is free for tutors and teachers. Tutors who wish can subscribe to the Premium subscription, through which their listings are given higher visibility for 1 year at a rate of €108. This offer is automatically renewed 365 days after signing up to the annual subscription. Tutors are free to cancel the Premium subscription at any time, from the first day of subscription to the last, the tutor can cancel this automatic renewal of the Premium subscription and suspend their subscription without justification through their dashboard or by email: contact

The teacher's contact information is never sent to students except in the case where the teacher accepts a lesson request, thus indicating that they wish to send their contact information to the student to organise the first class.

All pages of the site are secured by the HTTPS protocol and navigation between pages is encrypted. All member information and data are encrypted. No banking data is ever kept by Superprof.

Superprof does not sell or rent any information or data about its members. As Superprof is based in France, international transaction fees may be added to any subscriptions purchased on the platform.

After consulting tutor listings, students can get in touch with tutors they have selected. They then send a lesson request and message to all or as many tutors that match their needs. These messages must not contain any contact details and must limit contact to the Superprof website. i.e neither telephone numbers nor email address’ nor Internet address are permitted in lesson requests.

Students and tutors can agree to pay for lessons through the Superprof platform or take their relationship offline and negotiate payment privately. If the parties agree to pay for lessons through the site, a 10% commission will be taken from the tutor's hourly rate. If the tutor has signed up to the Premium subscription, however, this commission will be waived and the tutor will keep 100% of the hourly lesson fee.
