About Kiran

Worked as an Assistant Professor in computer science department, in a reputed college affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. Having Master’s degree in Information Technology, 5+ years of teaching experience and natural love for teaching, I am willing to help you develop your concepts and love for computer science, Programming and English language. An optimist and an enthusiast by heart, I always aspire to motivate and be motivated.
Being a student for life and ability to inspire others makes the best teacher, i believe. Also dedication, trust and willingness to learn, makes the best student, I perceive.

About the lesson

Explaining the concepts using analogy and examples, and making a foundation in the subject through study material, presentations, mock tests and revision tests, making it fun while you learn.
Explaining the concepts by understanding the level of students, I feel they can understand much better. Being an optimist and ability to connect with students of all age groups, I enjoy the process of motivating students towards their learning goals:)

Excellent! I have been working with Kiran for several months now. She teaches my 13 and 11 yr old IT coding incl Scratch, how to build a website etc. She is very patient, clear and gives them homework to ensure they keep progressing. I find having her support them in addition to school classwork helps them to be confident in computer science. I would highly recommend her.

I liked the passion of this young computer enthusiast and happy to see his interest in web designing, gaming and computing in general. All the best to this budding techie!!
I really admire his curosity to learn the subject of his interest from the right age and his mom's efforts to find the platform to let his son explore his interests and work on his skills!

What motivates you to teach and why?
I find satisfaction by teaching or sharing my knowledge, I am being of some good value to someone, this fact motivates me towards teaching.
When did you start developing an interest in your subject area?
Since I was in college in undergraduation, I developed interest in my subject.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of and why?
My head of department in my college she is the most sincere individual I find around, dedicated to her service.
What is the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in mastering your craft?
I had no much prior exposure of programming languages, while in school, but gradually I learnt it in college and build my interest.
What would you say to a student who says, "This is too difficult, I give up!"?
Nothing is difficult one you have set up your mind to achieve something, be it in studies, programming or any other pursuit in general life.
In your opinion, what makes someone excel in your subject area?
A sincere interest in the subject and willingness to explore more and more new technologies and challenges will definitely pay in long run if someone's interested in computer science a career choice.
How does someone become a Super Teacher?
Genuine Love and care for your students, subject mastery, an interesting and engaging approach in your classes and passion for sharing knowledge absolutely makes one a super teacher.
