About Taina
Hello! I am Puerto Rican-American and grew up in New York. I am a student of Spanish and Environmental sciences at Fordham University. English is my native language and I have five (5) years of tutoring experience in many different subjects but primarily in English.

My teaching method is direct. I try to speak in natural conversations about a topic chosen by each class. For example, if the theme of a class is "food" the student will have to learn and use words related to that subject such as utensils, cook, or something like that during our session. Also, I use the grammar-translation method. I use bilingual books like "La casa en Mango Street" so that you can immerse yourself in your target language while maintaining an understanding of Spanish in the book.
