About Joel

As a child of a multi-generational family of teachers, my parents would have always been delighted if I had chosen the same career path. However, after university, I fell in love with brewing and started making beer in a garage with two friends. Initially, we sold our beer only to close acquaintances, but then we moved on to contract brewing, followed by investors, and one step led to another. To this day, Hübris beer can be found on the shelves of Hungarian supermarkets.

By nature, I am a patient person who enjoys exploring problems from multiple perspectives. I always approach my students with empathy, as I believe that I can learn something from every mentor-mentee relationship. I also regularly attend various courses and continually strive to improve myself.

About the lesson

I graduated as a brewmaster in 2015, and since then, I have been continuously working with craft beer. I have brewed on different scales, from 20-litre homebrewing to 2000-litre microbrewing, and I am happy to share my knowledge with students at every level. I have extensive experience in mentoring as a mentor and coach. I learned this from my mother, father, and three of my grandparents, as they were all teachers.

I conduct 60-minute lectures with homework, reading and watching exercises, as well as practical tasks and tastings, whenever possible.
