Mr. Dunstan was an excellent and passionate teacher. His class sticks out to me distinctly in comparison with other high school classes. I keep many of the leasons he taught with me.

I had Mike as an English teacher my junior year of high school (2009). He is a very laid back teacher, easy to talk to, and he's super passionate about poetry and teaching English in general. He cared a ton about his students. He treated us as equals and adults, never as children.

Mike truly is invested and believes in his students. I recommend Mike because he was an incredible teacher to have. He impacted my life and taught me more than just English.

I don’t know if I could put into words how Mike has been a tremendous supporter as a teacher and now friend. As a student of his class, he demonstrated the importance of being respectful and hard working. He wanted us all to succeed as a class while also highlighting our own individual traits, which in my opinion is a hell of a juggling act that he made effortless. His ability to connect with students using humor and prospective made learning much more efficient rather than the typical model I’ve experienced with other teachers. He goes beyond what’s to be expected which results in others to exceed their expectations. This is a chain of events that is necessary for the world today and it starts with people like Mike at the forefront.

I was luckily enough to have Mr. Dunstan as a teacher in high school. From him, I learned what was mandatory from a curriculum standpoint but also walked away with invaluable life lessons. He has a unique ability to relate to his students and create a passion for learning as well as a level of respect.

Mr. Dunstan was my 10th grade English teacher. I highly recommend him, because he was one of the most influential teachers I’ve ever had! He truly impacts his students positively and does an amazing job of teaching them not only the subject but also very valuable life lessons. I enjoyed my time in his class and wish I could’ve had him as a teacher in college!

Mike Dunstan Is one of the 3 best teachers of my daughter’s entire academic career! He has an ability to relate to youth in a manner in which few teachers are capable. His sheer relatability enables him to pull more from his students, just because they WANT to please him! Due to anxiety, my daughter encountered “rough spots” with other teachers, but Mike always allowed her to run to his classroom to talk it out. His compassion for his students is a “forever thing,” reaching out beyond the time they are his personal students. I cannot recommend Mike highly enough! We had personally requested him to be her teacher in high school and we were beyond thrilled when she got him. You could never go wrong with Mike Dunstan!

Mr. Dunstan was my 10th grade English teacher. I remember graduating high school and feeling so fortunate to have had him as a professor. His ability to make every individual student feel cared for and important was incredible. He taught English in a way that was never taught to me before. He always made the class challenging yet entertaining. His presence and passion as a teacher is admirable. I truly believe Mr. Dunstan is the root to why I fell in love with the English literature whether it was reading or writing. After going through 5 years of college and playing division one soccer I can confidently say Mr. Dunstan is one the best and most trustworthy role models out there today and anyone who get the chance to be taught by him is truly lucky.

Mr. D is definitely my favorite English teacher of all time. He made his class fun and interesting. He was just more relatable than other teachers at Freedom. I was excited to hear from my pinger sister that she would be having him for English. I told her that she would love his class and sure enough she did. Thanks Mr.D for being a great teacher!

My junior year high school English teacher, never forgot the way Mr. Dustan opened up our first day of class with a little, don't judge a book by it's cover type lesson. I know him as an open-minded, down to earth teacher, but also stern enough to get his points across. He also taught my older brother, and we have nothing but high praise towards the man!

I had Mr Dunstan in 10th grade. That’s a hard time in your life, trying to figure out who you are and what you wanna do. Me Dunstan was always someone I felt comfortable going to if I needed anything. He was hands down my favorite teacher in high school

I had Mr. Dunstan for 10th grade English and he was honestly one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. He really knew how to make lessons interesting and creative. He brought style to the classroom and knew how to keep the class engaged. He made literature and poetry accessible even to the most uninterested student. It’s been quite some time since I was one of his students but there are lessons from that class I still remember to this day. He really knows how to get the subject matter to stick with you.

I had Mike as a public speaking teacher. It was one of those classes you don’t forget. What makes him stand out from other educators is that even in a large classroom, he still focuses on the individual progress of each student. His personability, enthusiasm, and knowledge make him a great teacher. Every single one of his students leave his classroom excited to learn more the next day!

Mr. Mike Dunstan is not only the funniest and coolest teacher you can ever ask for, but he is also the greatest friend you can ever ask for. I was a high school student of his and he was always willing to work with me and accommodate me. He is such an understanding human being and he genuinely cares about his students. Everything I told him stayed confidential and he was always willing to provide me with extra help and he even accommodated his teaching style to suit my learning. He made learning fun and interesting! I highly recommend choosing him! You won't regret it!

Mike was one of my favorite teachers I had in high school. Not only a great educator but an awesome supportive friend. Now being out of high school for almost ten years, I can truly say I am very lucky to have met him. Learned a lot in his class and his influence has helped shaped who I am today.

Mr. Dunatan always made class a comfortable and fun setting! He had a great sense of humor and he always cared about every one of his students. He was one of my favorite teachers, and always made a “boring” subject interesting and fun. There was never a time I didn’t want to show up to his class, in fact it was a class I always looked forward to!

I had Mike Dunstan for public speaking in high school and he is one of my favorite teachers I had throughout all four years! He is very knowledgeable, funny, understanding, and cares about all his students and their success. Would absolutely recommend him as a teacher!

I am writing this recommendation 14 years after I was in Mr. Dunstan's English class. That's significant because I still remember to this day how enjoyable his class was. He has a passion for teaching that was rare and truly cares about the education of his students. I also remember his sense of humor and patience with all students. Mr. Dunstan was one of my all-time favorite teachers.

Mr. Dunstan was my favorite teacher and he made me enjoy my least favorite subject. He starts his first day of class with a slideshow promoting various famous people who were told they’d never make it. You can do anything no matter what others tell you. This message is carried throughout his entire class. I have never seen a group of teenagers who normally dislike school try so hard and have so much fun with a teacher. Mr. Dunstan earns the respect of his students by treating them with respect. He individually cares for each one of his students and never judges. He goes out of his way to make sure each student is doing well, not just in his classroom but in their everyday lives. His passion and understanding has impacted the lives of countless students... including me. So thank you Mr. Dunstan for believing in us.

Mr. Dunstan has been the absolute best teacher, and mentor in my life. His teaching is more than the material given.
