About Alyssa
Hey, my name's Alyssa, but you can call me Ally! I am a student at my local community college working towards my Associate of Arts degree. I am a Research and Experimental Psychology major, which basically means that I experiment with tiny mice and sheep, yuck! The best part, however, is that I get the see advances in my work everyday, that will hopefully help a lot of people to feel better!
Becoming a tutor was a big decision of mine when I started to explore into the world of teaching. Although my profile is set to English, I also am good at Math, Science, and Philosophy. I'm not limited to specific area of education.
As a recent high school graduate, I look forward to gaining experience everyday. Already, I have worked with students up to age 12, but I'm comfortable working with any student in grades K-8. I look forward to getting to know each student and parent this summer. See you soon!

As a research Psychology major, teaching allows me to teach a student with personalized methods. By this I mean, each student, depending on their academic level and preferences, will be taught in a way they learn best. For example, photographic learners digest material differently than a hands-on learner. Whether a photographic, hands-on, or an auditory leaner, I can help! Both the student and the parent should see results within the student's acedmics, all through lessons that will result in growth and confidence in their education.
