Having been a teacher for over 10 years and a mom of two children, I understand the importance of getting to know YOU! What do you love? What are you passionate about? What don't you like about learning? What frustrates you? Getting to know YOU is the basis for YOUR success and growth. Your needs and skills are different than any other student. You are different than any other student and this is the most beautiful part about tutoring. I love to focus on what YOU need. Tutor for Elementary - Middle School Students:
As a tutor, I am incredibly passionate on investment of time getting to know the student, how they learn, what they, love, what motivates them because this allows me to take any topic and create the lesson to allow the student to have a vested interest. I understand the importance of individualized instruction for the growth and success of every student and integrate this strategy in every lesson. Adding reflection, questions, and discussion time at the end of each lesson is crucial for next step planning. Flexibility is critical as a tutor. One must be prepared to pivot and adjust for each student's comprehension and success.
