About Callum
I am an English Literature and Language graduate who has worked as both a writer and as an Academic Mentor in the UK. I specifically studied a module on Children's literature and education whilst undertaking my degree.
I have a wide range of experience with children of differing abilities and ages from my time in the UK. I was hired for a 6 month period as part of a government catch-up scheme due to the loss of learning from the COVID-19 pandemic but was then hired full-time by the school as a result of my impact in that initial period.

My lessons can be tailored to suit each individuals needs but primarily are for primary school children from 5-9 years of age looking for a boost with their reading, writing or Phonics skills.
My techniques come from two and a half years experience working full time in a primary school utilizing a variety of programmes including Reading Recovery, Better Reading Partners (BRP), Write Away Together and a range of Phonics programmes (Rapid Phonics, ELS).
I have conducted lessons both one to one and amongst small groups (2-6 children), often delivering around 6-8 tutoring/intervention sessions every day.
Depending on tutoring focus, lessons will last around 30 minutes. Lessons can be tailored to suit the individual needs of each child.
