About Alex
Hi, I’m a third-year student at the University of Southampton, currently working towards a First in my degree. I’ve always had a genuine love for English and enjoy helping others unlock their potential through clear, supportive guidance. I achieved grade 9s in both English Language and Literature at GCSE, and an A at A-Level, and I’ve tutored locally with great feedback. I want to teach because I know how much a tutor can improve confidence and grades — and I’m committed to bringing out the best in every student I work with.

I’ve previously tutored English locally and now offer online lessons for students aged 10–18. My sessions are typically one hour and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence, essay structure, close reading, and exam technique in an engaging, supportive way. I’m familiar with all major exam boards and aim to maximise each student’s potential, helping them move towards achieving the highest possible grades.
