About Sarah
Hello, my name is Sarah and I am from Toronto, Canada! I have been teaching English online and in person for 15 years while living in China, Taiwan, Thailand and Mexico. I hold a bachelor's in Communications as well as my TEFL certification. I understand the difficulties in learning a new language, and my students have told me that I am incredibly patient and understanding. I love to travel, and so far I have been to over 60 different countries around the world, my favorites being Italy, Thailand, and Brazil. In my English classes, I focus on helping students build strong conversational skills through practical grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. I emphasize real-world language use, teaching informal grammar like contractions and phrasal verbs, so students can speak more naturally.
Pronunciation is key, and I work on stress patterns, intonation, and regional accents to ensure clarity and confidence. I also introduce new vocabulary, idioms, and slang to help students communicate fluently in everyday situations.
My goal is to create an engaging, supportive environment where students feel confident using English in real-life conversations.
