About Mary
I'm an Irish female professional working as an English Teacher & Radiation Therapist whilst studying medicine.
My teaching work is hugely important to me. It's a wonderfully rewarding job & I'm passionate about helping students advance their English language skills. I understand many students have specific English level competencies to achieve for work/study & that it's imperative they achieve their goals. We always work very hard together (with lots of good humour) to reach these goals & to date all my students have achieved what they set out to accomplish at the beginning of our classes.
I work with all student levels & believe with hard work, consistency & a good sense of humour, we can achieve anything we set our hearts on!

I use mix of TEFL methodology & conversational teaching during classes. Typical class length = 1hr.
I like to illicit content from students & present new information in a clear, memorable way. We then test understanding together with games & exercises & finally practise integrating new content with games, conversations & roleplays.
I am TEFL certified, with 4 years teaching experience. I taught at Lord Byron English College, Bari, Italy for 1.5 years & have been doing private/online work for 2.5 years. I also work as a snr radiation therapist for an Irish Hospital (7 yrs).
I have taught & teach all learner levels (cambridge movers to Cambridge Proficiency English, all IELTs levels, TOEFL, Medical & Business English) & especially enjoy conversational classes.
I speak fluent Italian & beginners Spanish but teach through medium of English.
