About Pierre

Hello, Pierre Le Bayon, 31 years old, originally from Côtes d'Armor. Thirteen years ago, in 2012, I obtained my Baccalaureate in Literature (Jean Macé High School, Rennes) and at the same time began giving private tutoring or preparation for the Baccalaureate. Passionate about languages and economics, I continued my studies with a BTS (Higher National Diploma) in International Business (also in Rennes), where I had the opportunity to work in Italy for my internships. Driven by the desire to continue my studies, I went to Paris for a Bachelor's and then a Master's degree in International Business, which I obtained in 2020 from INSEEC. Pursuing the path of languages, dialogue, and communication, I now want to dedicate myself to working as a full-time private tutor. English and Italian are two languages I speak and write fluently. I am also passionate about drawing, art, and game creation (which is usually a good way to build a bridge between a student and I, and helps to involve students in the class).

About the lesson

In 2012, I obtained my Baccalaureate in Literature in Rennes (Brittany, France) and began giving tutoring and preparation for the Baccalaureate. I can help if your child is: non-Francophone and studying French as a foreign language at school and needs extra support with homework, speaking and presentation skills etc; or Francophone and studying French literature and preparing for their French Baccalaureate (BAC). I am usually initially contacted after the student finds that they are reaching a plateau with the French language, or after they have achieved less-than-expected mock test results, which is often my starting point with the student. It is by reviewing the test results, emphasizing the points missed and any barriers to progression that we begin working together. We therefore always have a concrete topic to begin with. For the BAC, once back afloat and ready to face future tests and final exams, we follow the course of the year by working and anticipating on the texts and authors proposed or that the student can already choose, on the different exam exercises and their methodologies, as well as on definitions, syntax and grammar. I always make sure to ask if there are any points in particular that the student would like to work on (finding a plan, writing a good introduction, presenting a work & its author, etc). My approach is based on listening, the student's needs, and exam expectations. I take the time to always be clear in my explanations, to make sure that each concept, definition, and methodology is understood. In addition to working on the areas where that have proven difficult in the past for the student, I always emphasize what has been achieved well. I have found that this approach to tutoring provides motivation and enthusiasm. After working as a private tutor on and off for around 10 years (with Acadomia in Paris, and with Superprof in Brittany in France), I would say my greatest strength is my interpersonal skills and my knowledge of how to build a bridge between a student and a subject! I am patient, precise, attentive, and always smiling. It's truly a pleasure to share my knowledge and to have a motivated person in front of me, and then to see the results!
