About Aneeka

I've been swimming competitively from a young age in Kenya and the UK (with ex-Olympians) and transitioned that passion into teaching in 2004. I continued to share my love for swimming part-time throughout my college and university years. Eventually, my passion for teaching took over, leading me to dive into full-time instruction. For nearly a decade, I helped build and train the teams at numerous Virgin Active Swim schools. Now, I bring that wealth of experience (and more) directly to you, offering personalised lessons in your own pool or at my welcoming swim space in Winchmore Hill (N21). Lessons typically last between 30 and 60 minutes – just the right amount of time to make waves! Why choose me? Because for me, it's about more than just swimming – it's about building confidence, ensuring safety, and sharing a genuine love for the water that started in my own childhood. Let's chat! Whether you're dreaming of private lessons, have a pool that needs some splash-tastic teaching, or are interested in connecting about all things swimming, I'm all ears. Dive In with Confidence! Your Personal Swim Journey Starts Here. Ready to glide through the water with a smile? Whether you have a tiny tot that is ready to turn into a water baby or an adult looking to become fearless, or learn to swim... I'm here to make your swimming dreams a reality – with a splash of fun! Think of me as your personal swim whisperer. Forget one-size-fits-all lessons! We'll create a swimming adventure that's all about you. Using cool techniques inspired by how your brain learns best (that's the NLP magic!), we'll not only understand the water but learn to move through it more quickly and confidently. Get ready for "aha!" moments and faster progress! Who's ready to jump in? I teach everyone from adorable babies (6+ weeks) to adults. Got your own pool? Fantastic, any age is welcome! Fancy a dip at my Winchmore Hill spot? Tuesday and Friday mornings are my only availability at the moment which is currently perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and adults.

My kids felt instantly comfortable with her and looked forward to every lesson. She explained techniques clearly, made learning fun, and ensured safety without ever making the kids feel pressured.

The progress they made in one hour was incredible, not only in their swimming skills but also in their confidence in the water. It’s rare to find someone who connects so well with children, and we feel very lucky to have found her.
