About Anya
I am a dedicated piano teacher with over 4 years of experience in guiding students of all levels, from enthusiastic beginners to professional pianists. My Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, with a focus in Pedagogy, shapes the balance of artistry and structure in my teaching. I emphasize three core skills: sight-reading fluency, score analysis, and expressive interpretation of classical repertoire. These are the foundations of confident musicianship. Lessons also include music theory and history to connect students with the broader traditions of the art. I value adaptability, tailoring each lesson to the needs and goals of the student. Technical growth is supported through carefully designed finger exercises and drills. Period performance practices are incorporated to honor the stylistic intentions of composers. Over the years, I have witnessed students transform both technically and musically. My goal is to foster independence, artistry, and a lifelong love of piano literature. My piano teaching focuses on a strong classical base with creative expansion through modern tools. Lessons emphasize sight-reading, score analysis, and expressive playing. Technique is strengthened through finger exercises and thoughtful practice. Alongside this, students explore digital pianos, synthesizers, and recording tools. We use DAWs to experiment with sound and create new textures. Recording techniques are taught so students can capture their growth. I believe learning should adapt to each student’s goals and style. Beginners get steady guidance, while advanced performers are pushed toward greater artistry. Those with exceptional talent are encouraged to expand into electronic performance as well. This makes the piano feel fresh and limitless. My approach combines discipline, flexibility, and imagination. Students are supported in becoming complete musicians. Lessons are designed to inspire confidence and creativity.
