About Susan
Having been a member of the English Chamber Orchestra for 10 years it afforded me the opportunity to work with some of the greatest violinists of our time and to be involved in many education projects in the UK and abroad. I also have been involved with Music Association-of Ireland bringing concerts and tuition in many schools across the length and breadth of Ireland, and have been humbled by the enthusiasm shown. I combine a busy freelance career in London with teaching at home here in Brighton. Having raised 3 children I am very aware how individual each person is and the approach needed to inspire them! It is proved that learning a musical instrument expands learning capabilities in many other areas of the brain and this combined with the social team building advantages makes a very positive choice.

I believe every pupil is an individual, therefore flexibility of approach is key to success. I have been teaching for a number of years beginners through to graduate level and have gained a great deal of experience along the way. The age of pupil and level dictates the lesson length. 40 mins young beginners 60 mins adults and more advanced students I teach in the Brighton - Chichester area. Qualifications: Dip RCM Dip ARCM Higher postgraduate certificate Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam.

Deadly! Excellent tutor!
I was very happy with my first lesson today. The pace of the teaching was perfect, and the clarity of the instructions truly outstanding. The tutor was able to provide a wide choice of exercises suitable for my skill level. The tutor demonstrates a master level of playing, which made my lesson even more satisfying.
