Hello! I am an alumni of the University of Canterbury. I hold a BA in English with a minor in Art history and theory and my MA in English literature. Currently am a teacher in training.

About Tim
I am here to help you and your writing succeed! I love English, literature and all things written communication. For the past five years I have been studying English Literature at the University of Canterbury. During this time, I spent countless hours reading my way through the University Library. The rich history of powerful communication of ideas was inspiring. I realized then, that I wanted to use my knowledge to encourage students to develop a passion for written communication so they can convey their ideas effectively!
I will help you with spelling, grammar, punctuation, diction and syntax. You will learn to read texts and select the most valuable information. To structure your writing to best convey the ideas you have developed. Together, we will increase your ability to ensure you pass examinations.

I love English! I have spent five years studying English, culminating in a completely original thesis in the form of a novel. I now want to spend my time encouraging the future generations of great writers and communicators.
My approach to tutoring is one tailored to the needs of the student. This is a one-on-one learning experience and I want each student to feel that I am targeting the specific requirements of their learning. I will work with you to get the most from these sessions.
I can teach year 9 - 13 and can tutor anyone thinking of applying for University or who may currently be at University.
An initial free meeting will be set up so that we can discuss what it is you need and to establish level of study, some goals and lesson length.
After this session, we will get to work on achieving those goals. I look forward to working with you.
