About Marilena

I’m Marilena, founder of The Kind Career—a professional coaching space for people who want more than a paycheck. My clients strive for purpose, clarity and being coached with dignity.

I offer emotionally attuned coaching through my unique Kind-Fit Method, aligning your character, skills, and culture with your potential workplace, so you stop forcing bad matches.

I adapt to my clients quickly and meet you where you are—starting, pivoting mid-career, or piecing yourself back together after a sabbatical or burnout.

For 10+ years, I worked in international human rights at NGOs, the UN, and purpose-driven startups. My work has appeared in Forbes, the Atlantic Council, Opinio Juris, and the McCain Institute. During that time, applying has become my second nature, and I know exactly what hiring managers are looking for during the CV, interview and salary negotiation phase.

But The Kind Career isn’t just built on my international credentials as a former high-level human rights consultant. It’s built on restoring confidence in a hiring system that feels cold, mechanical—like pressing “apply” into a void and never hearing back.

I have worked with ambitious and purpose-driven people who feel exhausted, intelligent minds who can’t find their next step, and changemakers from around the world who are tired of getting rejected for jobs they are well-suited for. It doesn't matter at what stage you are at; most likely, I have been there myself and can help you.
