About Giada

I have a double professional role, as a coach and as an architect.

In June 2021 I completed my training as a professional coach and I am a member of the ICF (International Coaching Federation).

If at the beginning, I had decided to start the training as a continuation of a personal development process started a few years ago, quickly I realised that there was more than that: there was also the will to share and support others in their transformation.

Architect since 2005, I have always worked in very large offices, large teams and large projects. A few years ago I started to change perspective and to realize that, to be fulfilled, I no longer needed this “ladder”, I no longer had the need to demonstrate something, to myself or to others. So here is the decision to start my activity as an independent, in the service of a more human architecture, more consistent with my values, which have obviously evolved over time.

The result is a support through a methodology that combines a fairly wide and varied range of tools, resulting from this combination of experiences.

As a coach, the specific knowledge the support and techniques specific to this profession. As an architect, creativity and management techniques - of projects and teams -, the learning of a complex field, the habit of transforming challenges into opportunities and how to materialize and build a dream, therefore passing from theory to practice.

As with the mountains, there are two ways to view a transformation: as insurmountable or as challenging.

In the first case, we don't even dare to approach it... it's far too difficult for me, we think.

In the second, we approach it, we study it and, one small step at a time, through difficulties as well as moments of great pleasure, we reach the top, we cross it, and we come back down, with our baggage of learning.

About the lesson

Is coaching useful to architects and future architects?
The answer is simple and it's YES!

In fact, I think architects are among the categories that could benefit the most from a coaching process.

Do you remember saying more or less often one of the following sentences: with the next project, it will be different; it's not my fault, it's my boss / the teacher who sends / asks for things too late; it's normal to do things at the last minute; it's normal to spend nights / weekends doing X; it's not my fault if it's not possible to plan and organise the work; it is not possible to do things any faster; it's too much; it's impossible; it is....; it's....

And if it was nobody's fault, but your responsibility to take charge of your life and decide for yourself how you want to live and work, despite what people think around you?

What if you opened your mind to other ways of doing things and started enjoying what you do and your life, instead of blaming someone or something?

If today I write all of the above, it is because I know that it is possible to change. And if I know it, it's because I've been there, because I've lived that way and because I said those sentences myself.

My method is structured in 3 phase:
1. Definition of the objective
2. Analysis of options and possible solutions
3. Implementation

During a first free meeting, we will be able to establish the foundations of the process, understand the issue and verify that coaching is indeed the right path to undertake in order to achieve the desired change.
