About Nancy

I'm Nancy, I come from the North East of England and currently work for a small local charity. While I no longer teach full time, I thoroughly enjoy helping students and adults learn languages through fun and engaging lessons, which is why I continue to tutor part time. Aside from languages, my interests include running, reading, art and yoga. I also have a cockapoo called Freddie.

About the lesson

With a passion for languages, classroom experience with various age groups and experience tutoring in person and online, I am an enthusiastic and qualified tutor with a wide range of skills. I graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA Hons in French and Italian, and also have a level 5 TEFL qualification for teaching English as a foreign language. I studied at the Université de Bourgogne for one year during my undergrad, and spent 18 months teaching English in South Korea to students aged 6 to 15. I also have in-person and online experience tutoring primary age, secondary age and adults. While I am happy supporting learning from a prescribed textbook/syllabus, I am also accomplished in creating teaching materials and developing lesson plans to enrich language learning. I firmly believe that engaged learning and information retention stems from curiosity and excitement, which is the pathway I aim to create in my lessons.
