About John
Teaching is not just a profession for me—it's a passion. I’ve always been fascinated by the process of learning and the way knowledge can empower individuals to achieve their goals. My desire to teach comes from a deep commitment to helping others succeed, whether it’s mastering a challenging mathematical concept or developing the physical skills needed to lead a healthy, active life.
I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and my mission is to help unlock that potential. There's nothing more rewarding to me than seeing a student’s face light up when they finally grasp a difficult topic or achieve a personal best in their physical fitness journey. I teach because I want to make a positive impact on my students' lives, guiding them towards academic success and overall well-being.
I’m motivated by the opportunity to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning in my students. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge and enthusiasm, but more importantly, it gives me the chance to be a part of each student's unique learning journey. I want to be there to support, encourage, and celebrate your achievements every step of the way.

Techniques and Teaching Methodology: My tutoring approach is student-centered and highly adaptable, ensuring that each lesson meets the unique needs of the individual. I believe in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts.
Diagnostic Assessment: I start by assessing the student's current level of understanding, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. This helps me tailor my lessons to address specific needs.
Conceptual Understanding: I focus on building a strong foundation by ensuring students thoroughly understand the underlying concepts before moving on to more advanced topics. I use real-life examples and analogies to make abstract ideas more relatable.
Active Learning: My lessons are highly interactive, encouraging students to engage with the material through problem-solving, discussions, and hands-on activities, particularly in Physical Education.
Regular Feedback: I provide constructive feedback and continuous assessment to track progress, celebrate improvements, and adjust the learning plan as needed.
Exam Preparation: For students preparing for the Leaving Certificate, I offer targeted exam preparation, including practice papers, time management strategies, and tips for answering questions effectively
I am a current 3rd Year Maths and PE teaching student to become a teacher next year.
