About Evan
I’m a software developer with real-world experience. I started my own dev company in Waterford, built mobile apps in Java, and now work full-time creating Windows services in C# for a manufacturing analytics company—all because they loved the app I built for them. I’ve taught classes before and love making programming simple, fun, and actually useful.

My approach to teaching is simple: keep it relatable, relaxed, and interactive. I like to explain programming concepts using everyday objects and real-world analogies—it makes things easier to grasp and a lot more fun. I’ve taught classes before and found that a bit of humor goes a long way in keeping lessons engaging (especially since it's coding).
Rather than dumping an hour of non-stop code, I start with a quick overview of the topic, then encourage questions and discussion. This way, students can connect the dots themselves and actually understand what they’re doing, not just memorize it. My goal is to make learning feel natural, not like a lecture.
