About Samantha

I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Diploma in Classical Violin. Music has always been my passion, and I love exploring crossover styles like Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop Strings, and World Music. In my lessons, I encourage creativity through improvisation, looping pedals, and modern performance techniques. I guide students in writing their own solos and adapting popular songs to the violin. Together, we experiment with tone, texture, and expressive phrasing to bring music to life. My teaching balances technical skills with musical exploration. I work with beginners and intermediate students, helping them build confidence while pushing creative boundaries. Each lesson is interactive, fun, and tailored to the student’s unique style. I believe the violin is not just an instrument, but a voice for self-expression. My goal is to inspire students to discover new ways of playing and to embrace their own musical ideas. About the lesson

My teaching approach is flexible and tailored to each student’s needs. I work with beginners, intermediate players, and advanced musicians, helping them build a strong foundation in violin technique. Lessons focus on posture, bowing, fingering, and tone production to ensure solid technical skills.

I emphasize ear training and musicality, helping students recognize pitch, harmony, and rhythm. Emotional expression is at the heart of my teaching, guiding learners to convey feeling through every note. I encourage students to explore different styles, from classical pieces to contemporary and worship music.

Performance confidence is a key part of my lessons. I support students in preparing for recitals, auditions, or social performances, helping them overcome stage anxiety and present their music with assurance. I also guide students in developing their unique musical voice, fostering creativity and personal expression.

Each session balances technique, expression, and enjoyment. I motivate learners to set goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements. My aim is to support students in excelling as confident performers, expressive musicians, and lifelong learners of the violin.
