About Lucas
I have experience working with students with varying levels of writing skills. Notably, I have more experience with students in middle school through students in college. I will not tear down your writing. Instead, we will work together to improve your skills using strategies specifically tailored to you.

Generally, my feedback is incredibly thorough. I do not see myself as an "expert" whose job is to critique every decision that you make. Rather, I am someone who works with you based on your abilities, and seeks to improve your writing through collaboration and discovery. During a lesson, you will bring an assignment that you're working on, and we will discuss it. I will make simple suggestions for grammar and clarity. Beyond these suggestions, we will have a conversation about the purpose behind your writing, and whether or not your essay conveys the point that you want it to convey. If you decide to work with me, you will receive a guide that will explore the writing process with you and someone who cares about your success.
