About Rachel
Hi - I have a BA (First Class Honours) in English Literature from the University of Durham, and also a Masters (Distinction) in English Literary Studies (also from Durham).
I occasionally tutored undergraduate students while studying for my Masters, and also tutored a friend's brother for his GCSEs - helping him go from a D to an A in English Literature.

Hi, I would love to tutor GCSE (Language or Literature) or A-level English Literature students seeking to improve their grades, or just wanting to spend a bit more time building their confidence in the subject.
I have access to all the key texts, and we will work together to supplement normal classroom tuition to help develop knowledge and understanding of the text, as well as helping students form their own views and opinions.
I specialise in teaching students who are higher on the introvert scale but will find a way to build a rapport with any student , ensuring they feel safe and comfortable - and most importantly not afraid to try and learn.
My lessons are interactive and supportive - I am here to help and am very friendly and patient, but will also make sure that students are stretched to learn as much as possible - and above all enjoy the lessons.
