About Elena
I have two Master's Degrees, one in Humanities Literature from CSU Dominguez Hills, and an MFA in Writing from Columbia University. Publications include the Comstock Review, Anthrow Circus, the William & Mary Review, Cosmo, and many others. An article is forthcoming from Johns Hopkins. I was recently named a finalist for the DeBiase Poetry Prize and the Florida Review Editor's Choice Award; I was also longlisted for the Exeter Short Story Award. I’ve participated in workshops and fellowships at USC, UChicago, the Rockvale Writers Colony, Bischoff, the Kenyon Writers Workshop, and the Centrum Arts Residency. This year, I was named a semi-finalist for the American Literary Review Nonfiction Contest and a finalist for the Washington Square Review New Voices Award.
