About Ashley
As a tutor, I strive to ensure that all of my students develop their existing strengths and improve upon any weaknesses through personalized lesson plans. I am generally a very easygoing person, and my feedback is straightforward and simple to understand. My previous students also often point out that their writing is now much more sophisticated. One of my teaching philosophies is not only to build my students' fundamental skillsets but also to develop their mindsets and knowledge bases to implement in their future studies. I find it especially crucial to expanding a student's view of the English language outside of what general schooling has ingrained in their mind. I have always found genuine enjoyment in working with students of all ages and I would be honored to work with you.

My lessons typically follow a few exercises over the course of class time (e.g. reading comprehension, discussion, short answer writing, in class essays, etc.). I utilize a "building-up" approach, where I will spend a few lessons on a particular skill and add the learned skill to a previously discussed concept. This way, my students are able to build onto their skillsets and apply them in various ways.
