About Yvonne
I am a piano tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BSc in Music Technology (Keyboard Production). I am passionate about composing for film, television, and video games. My lessons are personalised, engaging, and suitable for all learners—school students, adults, and professionals. I focus on melodic writing, orchestration, sound design, and DAW production techniques. Students learn to create cinematic music with confidence and creativity. I have helped learners from Intermediate to Advanced levels, as well as Professional/Expert musicians. Lessons blend technical skill, creative exploration, and storytelling through music. I emphasise using piano and digital tools to bring compositions to life. Students gain insight into arrangement, production, and orchestration techniques. I also guide learners in sound design and workflow efficiency. Each session encourages experimentation while strengthening fundamentals. I take a practical approach to piano lessons, focusing on ear training for all levels. Students learn to identify chords, melodies, and rhythms by ear. I also teach techniques to develop perfect pitch and enhance musical intuition. Exercises strengthen auditory skills and help learners recognise patterns in music. I work closely with The Composer and The Digital Producer, tailoring lessons to their creative goals. Lessons connect listening with playing, improvisation, and composition. Students gain confidence in interpreting music without sheet music. Each session includes practical drills and engaging exercises. I emphasise developing independence, clarity, and expression in music. My lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing creativity to flourish. Students improve both technical and auditory skills simultaneously. Ear training becomes a natural, enjoyable process. My goal is to help learners become confident, intuitive, and expressive musicians.
