I have known Kostantinos Matzafleris for quite a few years here in Toronto and I would like to highly recommend him as a gifted musician. Several months ago I was approached by the Pan-Arcadian Federation of Canada to create a commemorative production to honour the 200th Anniversary of Greece's independence. I knew the finished piece needed to have original music composition, as well as, traditional songs to bridge the span of time we were honouring. So I approached Kostantinos knowing that he would understand the subject matter in order to fill this monstrous task.
Within what seemed like a blink of an eye, he composed three original pieces of music , arranged 3 songs and 3 instrumentals that transcended any idea I had and brought my artistic vision together in the way I had envisioned. Our collaboration would continue over the next several months as the pandemic turned our stage production into an epic video production to be shared as lockdown did not allow for any other option.
Kostantinos gave us not only the most ethereal and meaningful music he but would then spend numerous hours and days working with us to make this vision a remarkable reality. His commitment to the project impressed me immensely, as he had embraced this task in its entirety and not just submitted the required music and walked away, he saw the value of his contribution as so much more and dedicated his time and talent to the entire project.

Kastasntinos is a unique and a true talented pianist, arranger, songwriter, compiser, producer and even audio engineer. Music seems like a God to him when he talks about it he is shining. He is so passion for any aspect of music from teaching, performing up to creating. I would suggest him as a teacher not only because of his huge knowledge, experience and passion for music but also for his kindness as a person and for his ability to guide you through the sole of music language. He puts a lot of emphasis on developing technique, musicality and strong fundamentals. All of the classes that I have taken were informative and he was always open to answering any questions that I may have had.

I have known Kostas for a couple of years as the music director of the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, and his passion and talent for music have inspired the choir. As a classically trained and Greek folk singer, I know the difficulties of finding sheet music for Greek songs, let alone finding them in 4 part harmony, but Kostas has made beautiful arrangements of church hymns as well as 4 part arrangements of traditional folk songs. He is a dedicated and talented teacher and musician!
